No future doctor should leave school because of financial constraints.
We rally community support to clear tuition, equip and sustain medical students facing hardship, keeping tomorrow's healers in the classroom and on the wards.

About
Bridging the gap between admission and graduation.
Getting into medical school takes years of extraordinary discipline. For many students from humble backgrounds, the real struggle begins afterwards. Six years of coursework, practicals and ward shifts leave no room for part-time jobs, so when family income drops, promising trainees face exam lockouts and repeated deferrals.
Elimisha Daktari brings together doctors, well-wishers and institutional partners to step in at those critical moments, so students can stay in school and focus on learning to save lives.

Mission
Mobilize financial, material and mentorship support for underprivileged medical students so they graduate on time and serve society.
Vision
A future where every capable student admitted to medical school has the support to become a compassionate, skilled physician.

Every medical student we keep in class is a community's future healer.
“I have seen brilliant, deeply committed medical students sit outside exam halls or defer entire academic years—not because they lacked the ability or passion to heal, but because their families could not raise tuition in time. Elimisha Daktari was born from a simple conviction: talent and calling are shared equally across every background, and when we stand together as a community, no future doctor has to walk away from their dream because of financial hardship.”

Walking alongside tomorrow's doctors from the lecture hall to the hospital wards.
“Medical training demands everything a student has—long hours in the library, intense clinical rotations, and unwavering focus on patient care. When financial stress and lack of basic clinical tools weigh on a trainee, their journey is put at risk. By combining tuition relief with dedicated mentorship from practicing physicians, we ensure capable students don't just survive medical school—they thrive and graduate ready to serve.”

What does “Elimisha Daktari” mean?
It is Swahili for “Educate a Doctor.” Our mission is to make sure no bright, hardworking medical student abandons their dream because their family cannot afford fees or basic upkeep.
How do you ensure donations are used properly?
Tuition awards are paid directly to the university's official bank account on the student's behalf, never in cash. Every disbursement is documented and checked against official fee statements.
How are students selected?
Through a dignified vetting process: official fee balances, academic standing, family circumstances, and recommendations from faculty or medical student associations.
Can I give monthly or become a founding partner?
Yes. Monthly partners and founding donors provide the predictable foundation that lets us commit to multi-semester support for students most at risk of deferring.
I'm a medical student in hardship. How do I apply?
If you are enrolled at an accredited university and face deferral or exam lockout because of fees, use the “Apply for support” button in the For Students section and send your details and current fee statement.
